About the
Artist
Yuliya Maiboroda is an award-winning nail artist, educator, competition judge, and founder of YB Professional Beauty Academy in Los Angeles. With more than four years of teaching experience in the United States, she has trained over 3,000 students in advanced nail techniques and professional artistry.
A winner of the Global Talent Grand Prix, Yuliya later expanded her professional role into competition judging. Her artistic practice combines technical precision, extreme nail architecture, sculptural elements, and conceptual design, transforming traditional nail artistry into expressive contemporary wearable art.
The Works
The Red Masquerade
The Red Masquerade explores the contrast between beauty and darkness through dramatic sculptural nail art. Extreme geometric forms, delicate lace, transparent structures, vivid red accents, and a theatrical mask create a composition inspired by mystery, performance, and hidden identity. Each element was constructed and decorated by hand, transforming the nails beyond traditional beauty into an expressive wearable sculpture.
Emerald Wings
Emerald Wings explores transformation, strength, and freedom through extreme sculptural nail art. The elongated architectural forms resemble wings, armor, and mythical silhouettes, while the deep emerald surface creates an organic, almost reptilian texture. Each element was constructed by hand, pushing traditional nail architecture beyond functionality and transforming the human hand into a wearable sculptural composition.
