About the
Artist
Polina Kuzmenkova is an internationally recognized makeup artist and the creator of the proprietary CAM Technique® (Camera-Adaptive Makeup Technique), based on a scientific analysis of optics, light, and digital imaging.
She is the 1st place winner of the World Beauty Championship (2020) and a recipient of the IBA Beauty Awards — Young Talent of the Year (2021) and Makeup Artist of the Year (2023). She is a certified judge at the International Beauty Judging Academy (IBJA) and has served on the jury of the XVII World Beauty Championship.
In 2023 and 2026 she worked as a lead makeup artist at Los Angeles Fashion Week. She is a top makeup artist for the brands dot. and 11NIL and takes part in shoots for international publications. She is also the author of scientific publications on the interaction between cosmetics, lighting, and camera technology. Since 2023 she has been working in the fashion and media industry in Los Angeles, shaping a new standard of professional makeup for photo and video production.

With this work I wanted the viewer to feel curiosity and admiration. I combined classic glamour references with a modern, almost futuristic finish. The soft metallic eye and graphic liner suggest elegance evolving into something new. I put into this piece my love for transformation through image making. It is a statement about beauty as art, identity and imagination.
