About the
Artist
My name is Halyna Kaliugina, I am a nail artist, educator, and competition participant based in Texas, originally from Ukraine. I am the founder of LiNails and the creator of educational programs for beginner nail technicians.
In my work, I combine technical precision, modern aesthetics, and an artistic approach. I actively grow within the industry, participate in international projects, and continuously improve my skills. My goal is to inspire both clients and students by showing that nail design is not just a service, but a form of self-expression.
The Works
Mother Earth: Crystal Growth & Mineral Magic
This work was inspired by the idea of nature as a living, feminine force. I was drawn to the way crystals grow organically, forming structures that feel both natural and architectural. Through this piece, I explore the connection between the human body and natural processes, where the body becomes an extension of nature rather than something separate. For me, it reflects themes of growth, transformation, and the balance between organic form and structure.
Marble Instinct
Through this tension, I explore the duality of human nature — balancing emotion and control, natural impulse and constructed form. For me, this piece reflects how identity is shaped by both instinct and structure.
Rebel Punk
This work explores identity through disruption and contrast, combining raw textures, bold elements, and structured composition. Inspired by punk culture, it reflects rebellion against expectations and the freedom of self-expression. Through this piece, I examine how chaos and structure can coexist, forming a new visual language that challenges traditional ideas of beauty and control.
